Hawk Ring Bearer FAQs
Q: Which bird is recommended as a ring bearer?
A: We use Harris's Hawks to deliver your rings to you.
Q: How does the delivery work? Can the bird fly to my partner's hand?
A: We'll take a few minutes to practice before the ceremony. You and/or your partner will spend a short time with the bird.
Q: Do you require a rehearsal or venue inspection?
A: No, we do not. A couple of pictures of the venue will do.
Q: What does it cost to have a bird of prey be the ring bearer?
A: Typically we charge $1000.
Q: Can we take pictures and can our guests have a meet-and-greet with the bird?
A: Yes, absolutely. The price includes the bird and falconer being on site for 3 hours. In that time, you can take plenty of photos and videos.
Q: What are the venue, insurance, and flight path requirements?
A: Your venue can be indoors or outside. We do need rotary ceiling fans turned off while the bird is flying and no pyrotechnics, extremely loud music, or flashing lights, please. The welfare of our birds is important. We do not require separate insurance. Your venue will have to approve the bird of prey being there and their insurance will cover it.
Q: Do you recommend using replica rings?
A: Not really - however, you are welcome to use replicas if you're more comforable doing so.
Q: Is there a bad weather/animal welfare cancellation policy?
A: If the weather looks dicey and the event cannot be moved inside, you may cancel up to 48 hours prior to your event for a full refund.
